Thailand, Cambodia 2007

The first impression of Angkor Wat was not that stupendous, but after three days temple sight seeing we could easily have added another three. In fact we were impressed of Cambodia. The country is on its way up. People are friendly and touts are not that aggressive.

Ko Chang is a beautiful island. Ko Samui is quite crowded. Avoid Chaweng beach and you are ok. Ko Phangan has some nice remote beaches on its east cost. Bangkok is Bangkok.

Der erste Eindruck von Angkor Wat war nicht umwerfend. Nachdem wir uns 3 volle Tage den Tempeln gewidmet hatten, wollten wir gerne noch 3 dazulegen. Kambodscha hat uns in der Tat positiv überrascht. Das Land ist auf dem Weg nach oben. Seine Bewohner sind freundlich und die Geschäftemacher sind gar nicht so agressiv.
Ko Chang ist eine herrliche Tropeninsel. Ko Samui ist ziemlich bevölkert. Wer Chaweng Beach meidet ist gut beraten. Ko Phangan bietet einige abgelegenen Strände an ihrer Ostküste. Bangkok ist Bangkok.
